Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has recorded a decisive victory at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) headquarters polling centre, securing 308 votes out of the total ballots cast.
His closest challenger, businessman Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, managed 160 votes at the party's head office, while the other three aspirants trailed significantly behind.
The results from the NPP headquarters show Dr Bawumia commanding approximately 64% of the votes, with Mr Agyapong securing about 33%.
Former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum and former Food and Agriculture Minister Dr Bryan Acheampong both secured 3 votes each, while former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong garnered 7 votes.
In total, over 211,000 delegates are expected to vote at more than 300 polling centres nationwide.
