Former Black Queens captain Adwoa Bayor has advised Black Queens coach Kuku Dadzie to call up more experienced players for future tournaments.
The Black Queens for the first time failed to make it to the women’s football tournament since the inception of the championship in 1998 after losing to Cameroon in the last qualifier last week.
The current Black Queens set up is made up of youthful and inexperienced players from the junior national teams.
According to Adwoa Bayor who now plays for the Immigration Service football team, blending old and youthful players is the perfect mix needed to re-instate the Black Queens as a force on the continent.
“I sometimes feel bad anytime i go to the stadium to watch them”.
“You need the old players because without them you can’t do anything”. She told JOY Sports
“The young ones are good but they are not strong, they don’t think fast so i think they need to add some of the old players to strengthen the squad”.
