The Director of Golden Movie Awards Africa has called on Ghanaian scriptwriters to be circumspect with the stories they tell about Africa in their movie scripts.

Mimi Adani who spoke at this years edition of the Golden Movie Awards Africa last Saturday at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel reminded all that movies are the mirror to a country.

Celebrating the third edition on the theme ‘Changing the negative narrative of the African story’, the former Big Brother Africa star conscientised industry players to put Africa at the forefront of what they do.

The big night for the movie industry across Africa witnessed the pomp and pageantry it deserves for actors especially in Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroun as they were the big winners.

The event was hosted by Nigerian comedian AY Makun and actress Osas Ajibade with performances from Nana Yaa, Joey B, Ebony and KK Fosu.

Golden Movie Awards Africa organized by NMJ Ghana under the supervision of the former Miss Adani seeks to celebrate movie of African origin.
