Professor John Evans Atta Mills, Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Sunday, called on the people of the Volta Region to remain firmly behind the NDC.
He said the "arrogance" of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) towards the plight of the majority of the citizens should provide the basis to remain committed to the cause of the NDC.
Professor Mills was addressing a rally at Dzodze where he inaugurated the Ketu North Constituency Headquarters of the Party.
Professor Mills said the NDC was poised to bring hope back to Ghanaians and asked the electorate to assess their current economic situation and vote the NDC back to power.
He said the NDC government under his leadership would distribute state resources evenly and bring "a new dawn to Ghanaians".
Dr. Kwabena Adjei, National Chairman of the Party, urged NDC sympathisers not to be deceived or influenced by the "NPP's cash flow, but let their yes be yes and no be no".
Mr Modestus Ahiable, Volta Regional Chairman, said the Party would match the NPP "boot for boot" and said the "battle" had started and called on foot soldiers of the NDC to be up to the task.
Later, four motorbikes were presented to four zonal offices of the party in the constituency to facilitate their campaign.
