The Bolgatanga Municipal Director of Education, Anthony Aziaba, has expressed concern about lateness to functions in the Ghanaian society and urged Ghanaians to be time conscious.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Atampuurum Central Primary School in the Upper East region, Mr. Aziaba noted that functions scheduled for 1400 hours normally come off at 1600 hours, and urged people to abide by time.
He stressed the importance of education in the development process of communities and nations, saying, "if people think education is expensive they should try ignorance or illiteracy."
He said by the year 2015 all children of school-going age should be in school and urged parents to abide by the policy as Government had put in place all the policy framework to make this possible.
Mr Aziabah indicated that Government alone could not bear the cost of education, and commended Harmattan Foundation for putting up the School.
He assured the people that another school block would be added to the existing ones since the Municipal Assembly priority was educational development.Source: ghanadistricts
