Musician Stonebwoy has waded in on claims that Jamaican dancehall artiste, Beenie Man, who travelled to join him in Accra for a concert, tested positive for Covid-19.
The international reggae artiste who was in Ghana as part of Burniton Music Group boss’ event, Bhim Concert 2021, is being investigated by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) for allegedly flouting Covid-19 protocols after he was said to have tested positive.
According to reports, he was sent into mandatory quarantine at the AH Hotel immediately after touching down at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
Beenie Man is said to have broken the directive by vacating the facility to appear on media platforms, including the much-anticipated concert, which saw a star-studded lineup at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) Grand Arena in Accra.

After his round of activities within the country, the superstar known outside music circles as Anthony Moses Davis is alleged to have been arrested on his return to the Ghana Immigration Service at the airport for his passport.
He has denied the claims via his Twitter handle, saying he has never contracted the Covid-19 virus.

Days after the issue made the headlines, the camp of Stonebwoy, his Ghanaian host has reacted.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the singer known in real life as Livingston Setekla agreed with his international compatriot.
“There is no iota of truth at what is circulating out there, and I can confidently say that he has no COVID- 19,” he told the newspaper.
According to the report, another member of the Stonebwoy's team, Kwame Rasta, insisted that tests conducted on Beenie Man in Ghana returned negative.
On the back of this, he finds it unfathomable that such claims will be made about his health status.
"Here in Gnana, he had done not less than three tests, and all were negative. So, in fact, we don’t know where this news is coming from, but all I can say is that Beenie Man has no COVID-19," he added.
Meanwhile, Beenie Man has against taken to social media to furnish his followers with relevant documentation relating to his Covid-19 testing while in Ghana.

"Before entering Ghana, I did a Covid-19 test at the Heathrow Airport in London. The test results were negative. Less than 24 hours after arriving in Ghana, I did another test, which was negative. Three days later, I did a PCR test to clear me for travel, which came back negative. I have crossed two international borders where I was tested, and all were negative," Beenie Man added.
