The prompt response of the fire service prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the school.
“We called the fire service and they responded swiftly to put out the fire. Personal belongings of the students got burnt. The sad news is that we could not pick anything. The only good thing is that no one got hurt,” Mr Oduro Yeboah, Headmaster of the school told Erastus.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but it is being speculated that it might have been caused by illegal connections by the students.
According to the headmaster, some temporal measures have been put in place by the school’s administration to support affected students.
“We are planning to give each of the 52 affected students, school uniforms, note books, exercise books and mattresses,” he said.
Mr Oduro Yeboah appealed to government for assistance to rebuild the dormitory block.
He added that the school will psych the students up “so that the incident does not have any effects on their academic performances.”
