The official development partners of the Women’s Premier League BETWAY is set to host its highly anticipated GWPL Leadership and Development Programme in-country session at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel on the 8th of June 2023.
This session aims to bring together key stakeholders in Ghanaian women’s football for a day of insightful discussions and practical advice on leadership, governance, and skill development.
The event will see the attendance of distinguished guests, including officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), representatives from Women’s League, members of the media, and delegates from GWPL clubs.
The session will be moderated by Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo and Akosua Addae Amoo.
One of the objectives of the programme is to provide an opportunity for participants to follow up with their respective clubs, addressing the challenges encountered while implementing the learnings from previous workshops.
This platform for engagement and support will enable women’s football leaders to navigate obstacles and drive positive change within their organizations.
The session will offer practical advice and guidance on leadership strategies, governance best practices, and skill development specifically tailored to the context of women’s football. Attendees can expect to gain invaluable insights from success stories shared by resource persons, inspiring and motivating them to overcome barriers and unlock their full potential.
Since its inception in March, the Ghana Women Premier League mentorship programme has conducted three highly successful sessions. The upcoming in-country session promises to build upon the momentum and continue nurturing the growth and development of women’s football in Ghana.
This BETWAY GWPL Leadership and Development Programme session is a significant step forward in empowering women’s football leaders, fostering collaboration, and driving positive change within the Ghanaian football landscape.
In April this year Betway, donated sporting items, including warm-up kits, footballs, tactical boards, cones, and training bibs, to all 20 teams participating in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
The donation formed part of the company’s effort towards developing women’s football in the country and was done on the sidelines of the Sports betting company’s leadership and development seminar held at the Movenpick Ambassador’s hotel in Accra.
