Events last Monday in the Big Brother Africa StarGame seem to have distorted the reality show as there was no eviction Sunday.
The Upville housemates were to take their turn during the eviction show but due to the disqualification of Ghanaian representative Derick Kobina Bonney (DKB) and Sierra Leonean Zainab from the show, no housemate was given the boot.
The two were disqualified after the Ghanaian slapped the Sierra Leonean during a confrontation after she took a peek at him while he was taking a shower.
Due to the disqualification, Big Brother cancelled nominations and eviction for the Upville house.
Even though there were no evictions, Sunday’s live eviction show came off nonetheless and started with Ugandan musician Maurice Kirya who thrilled with splendid performances with his guitar.
After a recap of an action packed week in both houses – Upville and Dowville – IK, host of the show, announced DKB’s apology letter to Zainab and Africa.
IK got down to business and implemented the advanced Random Nomination Mechanism again in the Downville house. That nomination dropped Namibian and South African balls.
This means that, South African pair Lee and Keagan and Namibian pair Junia and Jesica have their heads on the chopping board come Sunday.
On Sunday there will be a break in the tradition where one out of the four housemates up for eviction makes it to the Upville house for two housemates will elevated.
This means that two housemates will be evicted while two will be upgraded to the Upville house.
