Ghanaian music superstar Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, has extended a gesture of generosity to underprivileged mothers at the Nkrumah and Yebuah wards of the 37 Military Hospital.
In a post shared by the Ghana Armed Forces on Facebook, it was revealed that the artiste donated large quantities of assorted essential items and also settled medical bills in full, amounting to GH₵50,696.00.

The initiative is part of the ongoing charitable work of the Mohammed Ismail Sharrif Foundation, the singer’s philanthropic organisation.

The foundation’s work aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3.1, which seeks to reduce the global maternal mortality ratio and ensure that women have access to safe, quality maternal healthcare.

By directly supporting mothers with both medical and material assistance, the foundation aims to improve access to healthcare and enhance the welfare of women in vulnerable circumstances.

The Ghana Armed Forces described the donation as a “powerful reminder that compassion and collective responsibility can make a lasting impact”, highlighting the significant role of private individuals and organisations in complementing public health efforts.
