A member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), George Amoako, says Chris Hughton's work as Black Stars head coach has left him disappointed so far.
Hughton was appointed the Black Stars following the departure of Otto Addo and has been in charge of three games so far. During that run, the Black Stars have picked just one win, drawing the other two.
In a recent interview, Amoako claimed the Irish coach has done very little to impress so far as the main man in charge.
"Have you seen Chris Hughton’s performance? He has played three matches. He hasn’t been impressive." he told Angel FM.
"If you look at the teams, Madagascar. I went to see the game against Angola and all the games I have seen we play under him. I am not really impressed. Let’s pray at least that we will qualify for the 2023 AFCON."
Hughton has an opportunity to change the narrative in September when Ghana face Central Africa Republic in the final game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
