The senior national team, the Black Stars, are camping in Ghana ahead of an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament for the first time in 21 years.
The last time the team pitched a pre-AFCON camp in Ghana was in 2002 when they were based at the Winneba Sports College.
Ahead of the 2023 tournament, set to kick off in 9 days in Cote d’Voire, the Ghana Football (GAF) had announced Ghana’s pre-tournament camping was going to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
However, that plan was aborted after public outcry, with Black Stars now based in Kumasi prepping for the 2023 AFCON.
The number of players in camp now stand at 25 after the arrival of Jordan Ayew and Richard Ofori on Wednesday, with Mohammed Kudus and Inaki Williams the players yet to report.
