Ghana’s Black Stars on Wednesday fine-tuned preparations for their participation in the World Cup, seeing off a mild opposition in Ethekwini Coastal Academy 4:0 in Pretoria.
The game, according to a live commentary monitored on Asempa FM, saw goals from Dominic Adiyiah, Stephen Appiah and Matthew Amoah close the first half at 3:0 for the Black Stars before Prince Tagoe added the final goal in the dying embers of the game.
The Black Stars take on Serbia in their opening game of the South Africa 2010 tournament on Sunday, before turning the heat on Australia and Germany in search of a second round berth.
Skipper Stephen Appiah, midfielder Anthony Annan and defender Samuel Inkoom in interviews with Asempa FM, spoke highly of their preparations for the tournament and were also satisfied with the result from the friendly encounter.
