The Ghana Football Association has finally confirmed the Black Stars date with the Super Eagles of Nigeria on February 14 in an international friendly.
The Valentines Day clash in London had been left hanging after the GFA failed to confirm the match even though their Nigerian counterparts had made a public announcement last month.
Nigeria will be preparing for the resumption of the Ghana 2008 qualifiers while the Black Stars hope to pick valuable lessons in their preparation for the championships proper, which Ghana qualifies automatically as hosts.
The match will be the 45th meeting between the two fierce West African rivals. The last encounter between the two ended with Ghana losing 1:0 to the Eagles in Egypt.
