Voting has ended in all orphaned constituencies of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the five regions.The party held primaries Saturday to elect parliamentary candidates for constituencies without sitting Members of Parliament (MPs) in the three northern regions, Brong Ahafo and Ashanti Region.National Coordinator for the National Youth Employment Program (NYEP), Abuga Pele, won against the District Chief Executuve (DCE) of the area, Thomas Dalu, to represent the NDC for the Chiana Paga Constituency in the Upper East Region.Speaking to Joy News after being declared winner, Abuga Pele pledged to reclaim the seat from the NPP. He also denied earlier reports of violence.Osahene Boakye Gyan also beat two other contestants to represent the ruling party in the Jaman South constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region. The Regional Minister, Kojo Nyamkyi Marfo also won in the Sunyani West constituency.In the Ashanti Region, the Amansie West DCE, Charles Oti Prempeh lost to his closest contender Alex Bonsu.
