German Bundesliga outfit FC Cologne expects Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng to be be fit for pre-season training after undergoing a successfully operation on his shoulder last Monday.
The 26-year-old joined the FC Cologne from Israeli side Beiter Jerusalem during the January transfer window and impressed officials.
He sustained the injury last month on the final day of competition to end the season.
Boateng was invited by Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac for the 2010 joint qualifier double header against Mali and Sudan.
