Body of missing 3-year-old found in abandoned dam at Bibiani

A three-year-old girl has been found dead in an abandoned dam at Attakrom, a suburb of Bibiani in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

The deceased, identified as Vincentia Kyeremah, was a kindergarten pupil who went missing on Saturday.

According to her uncle, Daniel Donkor, all efforts to locate her proved futile until her lifeless body was discovered on Monday afternoon.

The family had reported her disappearance to the Bibiani police before the tragic discovery.

The police, together with community leaders launched a search, leading to the discovery of her body in the dam.

Daniel Donkor suspects foul play in the child’s death and is calling on the police to conduct a forensic investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, the police have since retrieved the body for preservation and autopsy as investigations commence
