The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Bole/Bamboi, Yussif Suleimana, has donated a cheque of GHS 200,000 to the Bole Teacher Training College committee tasked with establishing a new teacher training college in the district. The donation comes amidst calls for unity and development among residents.
The contribution was made during this year’s Independence Day parade in Bole, Savannah Region, which saw participation from major stakeholders, including security agencies, students, and teachers, as the nation marked its 69th birthday.
Speaking at the parade, Mr Suleimana highlighted his achievements since taking office, including improvements in educational infrastructure, such as the distribution of 1,000 furniture pieces to local schools.

He also announced upcoming projects, including sports and recreation initiatives, and revealed plans to launch an education fund by April to further support the sector. He urged constituents to promote tolerance and respect for traditional authorities.
Echoing these sentiments, the District Chief Executive of Bole, Abdullah Mahamadu, pledged to ensure development reaches every corner of the district, with a particular focus on agriculture. He encouraged participation in government programmes such as Adwumawura and the National Apprenticeship Program.
Meanwhile, the Education Director of Bole appealed to students to serve as ambassadors of peace and discipline, amid concerns about rising indiscipline in schools. Outstanding students were also recognised and awarded for their dedication and hard work in academics.
