The penultimate Harry Potter film has been casting a spell on the public again, smashing box office records. Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 took an estimated £17.5m over three days in the UK. That makes it the most successful opening weekend in history. Quantum Of Solace, Daniel Craig's second outing as James Bond, was the previous most successful film. But the Potter franchise is unrivalled - in total it has made around £3.3bn worldwide. The magic behind the success has much to do with Warner Bros lengthy marketing campaign.
