Nana Appiahwiah Memorial Preparatory School at Kade has presented awards to pupils of the school who excelled academically and those who helped to keep the school compound clean.
Three of the pupils took home a pair of footwear each at a ceremony attended by parents and teachers. They were Ebo Danquah, Sandra Konadu and Lawrencia Ofori Mintah.
Four others, Dorothy Buabeng, Monica Sera, Mary Quansah and Edna Darkwaa were presented with parcels of exercise books for helping in keeping the school compound clean.
Five other pupils, who also received parcels of stationery were Kalvin Ofori Fynn, Pius Gyimah Asare, Esther Abrafi, Enock Appiah, Benedicta Boadiwaa and Dorothy Buabeng.
The headmaster of the school, Mr Michael Akuffo, congratulated the award winners and urged all the pupils to study hard and be obedient to their teachers and parents and be courteous to everybody.
The proprietor of the school, Mr John Michael Aikins, said there were plans to expand and equip the school with computers and appealed to philanthropists to aid the school in its expansion and modernization programme.
Mr Aikins appealed for public support for private schools to improve the quality of education.GNA
