A building at the Ako Adjei Overpass in Accra used by the Osu Traditional Council, one of the two factions in the protracted Osu chieftaincy dispute has been pulled down by unknown persons.
Mr Julius Lawson, who was one of five people in the building before the demolition said that some people arrived at the compound early in the morning, marched them out and seized their cell phones, which were, however, later returned to them.
He said a pay loader with registration number GE 3674 W brought in an earth moving Caterpillar, which then started pulling down the building without allowing them to take out furniture, air conditioners and other items.
He said the police protected those who were pulling down the building.
Mr. Lawson said they would mobilise hundreds of youths to march to Accra Metropolitan Assembly to demand who was contesting the ownership of the building and go to court to reclaim the land.
Some chiefs of Osu who came to the scene were left dumbfounded when they saw the demolition.
