As part of measures to improve and motivate personnel of the Ghana Police Service in the Upper West Region, the Managing Director of Bunas Company Limited, Abdul Nasir Saani has donated modern office chairs to the Service in Wa.
The five office chairs cost five hundred Ghana cedis.
Presenting the chairs to the police service, Mr. Saani stated that the donation is his widow’s mite towards motivating the police in the region.
He said motivating the police is not one that should rest on the shoulders of the government alone but should be for all.
Narrating what has motivated him to do the donation, Mr. Saani said few weeks ago when he came to the police station, he saw the deplorable conditions under which they were working, including the wretched chairs they were sitting on.
He said he was moved by the situation and asked if he could be of help to them which they replied in the affirmative.
He quickly arranged for the chairs to be donated to them.
It is his belief that the donation will go a long way to improving the work of the police in the region.
The Wa Municipal Police Commander, Mr. Henry Amankweitia who received the chairs on behalf of the Ghana police service thanked Mr. Abdul Nasir for the donation and called on other benevolent people and organizations to also do same.
