The Interior Ministry has imposed a 4pm to 6am curfew in the Northern Region town of Bunkprugu/Yunyo after fierce clashes on Sunday left two people dead.
20 houses were also torched in the renewed conflict in the town.
The decision to impose the curfew follows recommendations by the Regional Security Council on ways to keep peace in the ethnic and chieftaincy clashes hotspot.
7 months ago, a similar conflict claimed one life.
Interior Minister, Mark Woyongo, said the curfew is to "ensure that people don't go out in the night...Because there is no light, the lighting system is poor, people hide in the dark, and do the shooting. So if we impose the curfew, everybody is supposed to be indoors. Those who are found outside are likely to be shot by the security people."
He is confident the curfew would enable the security forces take control of the situation in the Northern Region town.
Reports indicate that the latest conflict ensued following a misunderstanding between the Jamong and the Jafog clans (both Bimobas) which lasted for several hours on Sunday April-12, 2015.
Meanwhile, Police say they have restored calm to the district.
