Dr. Francis N.A. Sowah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate-elect for La Dadekotopon constituency has appealed to all factions to bury their differences and reconcile to reclaim the seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He made the call at a "reconciliatory party" to sympathisers and supporters of the party at Osu Home School Auditorium at La.
Dr Sowah observed that the constituency was lacking in various sphere of development, which needed a concerted effort by all to bring La and its environs back on track.
Dr Sowah, a legal practitioner pointed out that after regaining the seat, his first programmes would be on education, sanitation, job creation, restoration of the Kpeshie Lagoon, strengthening of the youth in agriculture and the completion of the two-storey market to replace the old one which was built in 1927.
He called on all members of the party in the constituency to forget the past so that they could forge ahead to win back the seat, adding; "if in the course of my campaigning to win the primaries I have stepped on anybody's toe, please forgive me so that we live as united family."
Spokesperson for his opponent in the contest, Mr Oscar Odoi Glover said they have resolved to commit their human and material resources to win the seat and as such the organisation of the gathering to iron out some differences was very important.
He said the presence of the number of party sympathisers at the gathering showed their level of dedication and preparedness to work hard for the party and therefore advised members not to use language that would discourage others from involving themselves in the mainstream programmes.
Mrs. Galdys Dedey Mann, Chairperson of the constituency urged all to unite to achieve the aim of the party and promised to commit anything within her means to win the seat.Source:GNA
