Senior business executives across the West Africa sub-region would on October 9 join some government officials at a conference dubbed: "Economist Conference" to discuss issues ranging from managing projected tourism volumes to avoiding another destructive currency crash.A statement issued by the Global Media Alliance in Accra on Monday said Ghana had become a growing source of interest to foreign investors seeking to take advantage of the opportunities in the country's key strategic industries hence the Economist Conference to assess investment opportunities in Ghana.The conference would discuss key challenges that affect investors who wish to invest in Ghana, including the need to create conducive culture for the business environment.Speakers at the conference would include President John Agyekum Kufuor, Madam Margaret Mwanakatwe, Managing Director, Barclays Bank, Ghana, Mr Guy Harrington, Chairman of Investment Banking and Corporate Finance and Emerging Markets, Citigroup, and Mr Mats Karlson, out-going World Bank Country Director.Source: GNA
