Hollard Insurance pays toll for motorists in Accra

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Hollard Ghana has shown care to thousands of motorists by paying their tolls at various booths across Accra.

The activity which lasted two days focused on customer appreciation and happiness to mark Customer Service Month observed in October.

Speaking to JoyBusiness, Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo, said the charitable exercise is part of plans to improve confidence in the insurance sector.

“We like to treat everyone with care and dignity and this is one example of how we treat people with care and dignity because it’s the little things that make a difference; and for Hollard, we understand that the little things matter so whether it’s paying claims efficiently so that you can get going or just giving you a great product that makes your life easier,” she said.

Cynthia added, “We’ve paid for 20,000 vehicles so far; all tolls paid for and we’ve put smiles on the faces of motorists that plied these roads.”

The exercise which was held on the 30th and 31st of October this year was captioned, “Because we truly care, we are paying your toll!”

The various tool booths included Kasoa, Ayi Mensah, Oyibi, Tema bound, Accra bound and Ashaiman with Saloon and 4x4 vehicles as the eligible cars.

Cynthia says her outfit has added the charitable course to its CSR activities lineup to be undertaken annually.

Recapitalization

On her part, Branch Manager of Hollard Life, Agartha Arkorful said the Hollard Group is financially stable and in the position to exceed the increased minimum capital requirement for the sector.

“You must be aware that our regulator, that is, the National Insurance Commission has increased the minimum capital requirement for the industry but I assure you Hollard is financially equipped to meet the new levels,” she said.

Tailored product

Some motorists expressed their excitement about the kind gesture from Hollard and have called for a tailored insurance product to relieve them of the burden of toll payments.
