Captain Felix Annan reserved special praise for Asante Kotoko fans following their massive support in Sunday's CAF Champions League win over Kano Pillars.
The Baba Yara Stadium was almost filled as Kotoko won the match 2-0 and qualify to the first round 4-3 on aggregate.
“Asante Kotoko SC supporters are the best. They are the reason why we are always having good performances,” Annan said after the match.
“When we came back from Nigeria I called on them because I know Asante Kotoko SC is not just a club but we are a family and we all have to come together if we want to progress.
It's massive. I told my guys that we can't disappoint the millions across the world supporting Asante Kotoko. They are a massive part of us and they are the number 12 (man) who always encourage us to do well so we are glad the day has been good for us and everyone is happy.”

He added: “We are ready as players to give our 200% best but we want to tell the fans that at least they should limit their expectations and support us. This is a new team and players are trying to build together and it is not bad. There will be more improvement. We will always do our best for them”
The Porcupine Warriors will face Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel in the next stage of the competition.
The first leg will be in Kumasi on the weekend of 13–15 September and the return leg in Sousse a fortnight later.
