Ghanasoccernet has joined the Black Panther Foundation to help raise the US$15,000 needed for Ghanaian goalkeeper Ibrahim Dossey to undergo treatment following a serious motor accident to save his life.
Dossey, a former Ghana international who won bronze medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, must undergo further treatment in Western Europe to prevent a brain damage.
He fell into coma following the accident two months ago and has been on a life support machine since because of the serious spine injury.
As players in Romania don't earn much, his wife in Romania is unable to raise the US$25,000 required for him to undergo treatment to prevent further complications.
Thankfully, Egypt-based Ghana international keeper William Amamoo has donated US$10,000 and has launched an appeal through his Black Panther Foundation to raise the remaining US$15,000.
However, no response has been received since he launched the appeal last week.
Therefore Ghanasoccernet has joined Amamoo to appeal to other well-to-do players, corporate organisations, individuals, fans, churches and mosques to raise the cash needed to save the life of a national hero.
Ghana is worth dying for and in a national hero's time of need Ghanaians must stand up and be counted.
As time is running out, you can support this worthy cause by sending in your contributions no matter how small.
You can send the donation by contacting William Amamoo at the email address below: karimamuna2000@yahoo.com
You can also email the editor of Ghanasoccernet, Kojo Amponsah, at: editor@ghanasoccernet.com or call him on 00233285150202 for details on how to send your donation.
