The 4th edition of the CEOs’ Connect organized by the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce (Cancham) will come off this Thursday August 15, 2023.
The high-profile event will serve as an exceptional platform for top executives, industry leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs from Ghana and Canada to convene, engage in dynamic discussions, and share valuable insights.
The keynote guest speaker is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey. Andrew Maharaj, Regional Senior Trade Commissioner of the Canadian High Commission, will also be a guest speaker.
The event will also provide a platform for participants to meet with government representatives, international agencies and industry players to share strategies and acquire authentic business information to assist in decision-making.
This year CEOs’ Connect will be looking at Joint Ventures (JV) under the theme “Exploring business opportunities for economic growth through joint ventures between Ghanaian and Canadian Businesses.”
Amongst brief remarks, there will be a panel discussion on the theme, and a meeting room will be available for participants to take their networking to the next level.
The key panel discussion will feature the CEO of Minerals Commission, Martin Ayisi; CEO of Petroleum Commission, Egbert Faibille; Country Managing Partner of Deloitte Ghana, Daniel Kwadwo Owusu; CEO of Ghana Investment Promotion Center, Yofi Grant; CEO of Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited, Dr. M.C Vasanani; CEO of Casa Foundation; Dr. Olutoyin Oyelade and Dr. Fareed Kwesi Arthur, National Coordinator, Africa Continental Free Trade Area.
Executive Secretary of the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Edwina Atta-Sonno said “We intend to use this platform to educate participating companies on what to do and how to prepare for a JV, provide understanding into some regulatory requirements that companies (both Ghanaian and Canadian) should know when going into a JV in Ghana, connect Ghanaian companies to international investors especially the Canadian companies invited to participate in this year’s event, among others”. The conference primary objective is to identify and promote strategic joint venture opportunities, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual investment
