Mrs Lucy Peprah-Tawiah, Founder of the Catholic Twins Society (CTS) of the Catholic Church on Sunday called on members to strive to combine good traditional practices with doctrines of the Church to ensure its development and progress.
She urged parents of twins in the church to endeavour to present them to priests to initiate them into the church through special prayers.
Mrs Peprah-Tawiah made the call when she inaugurated the Sacred Heart Parish, Derby Avenue branch of the CTS, in the Accra Archdiocese on Sunday.
This brings to 11 the number of branches so far inaugurated in the Accra Archdiocese since the formation of the CTS in 2003. It has “One in love, one in Sharing” as its Motto.
Mrs Peprah-Tawiah said twins are a special blessing from God and urged the parents to take good care of them to enable them to play meaningful roles in society.
Reverend Father Eric Kabenlah, Assistant Parish Priest, Sacred Heart Parish, advised members to show love and respect to the executives.
Rev. Father George Paanii Brocke, visiting priest from the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese advised members to live up to the tenets of the society.
The society has a six-member executive with Mr Jacob Armah as the Chairman and Mr Lawrence Acquaah as the Vice Chairman.
Mrs Veronica Amihere, Miss Vida Antwi and Miss Chrystabelle Agbesi-Ntibrey are Secretary, Treasurer and Financial Secretary, respectively.
