American gospel icon and queen of praise, Cece Winans touched down Tuesday afternoon at the Kotoka International Airport, all ready for the 2010 edition of Adom Praiz 2010.
Accompanied by her husband Alvin Love, son Alvin III and a nine-member band that will lead the line-up of accomplished local stars including Kwaku Gyasi, Ernest Opoku, Florence Obinim, Soul Winners, No Tribe, Willie and Mike, Tagoe Sisters, DSP Kofi Sarpong, Gifty Osei, Alabaster Box and Bernice Offei among others, Cece Winans said she looks forward to Wednesday’s explosive event at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Cece and her team touched down at 2pm, aboard a United Airlines flight and were met on arrival by an equally delighted team from Adom FM, hosts and organizers of the event led by head of religious programmes, Rev. Yaw Owusu Ansah. Others in the welcome party included Klaus Von Backustein, Chief Operations Officer of Adom; Linda Bartels-Poku, Finance Manager; Edward Entee, Sales Manager; Kox Tamakloe, Programmes Manager; Nii Noi Vanderpuye, News Editor and Rev. Asuo Mensah also of Adom FM.
The night-long gospel concert is the second since its institution in 2009 as an annual praise and worship platform to honour God for the fulfillment of His promises.
Born Priscilla Winans on October 8, 1959 at Detroit, Michigan, USA, the multiple award winning Cece Winans Love is performing in Ghana for the first time.
