It may be temporary but timely and crucial - relief has come for the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital in Accra as it receives a donation of 10,000 cedis worth of varying items to ameliorate its challenge in providing quality health care to inmates at the facility.

The donation was made by CEIBS Global Executive MBA  class 2017 through Ghana Hope Initiative, a local charity arm of Ashesi University.

Items donated to the hospital include slippers, detergents, soaps, toilet rolls, shower gels, rice, indomie, water, toothpaste, brooms, mops, buckets and sanitary pads.  

CEIBS students from over 20 different countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Switzerland, China and Thailand are currently in Ghana for a 9-day program at the CEIBS Accra campus.

As part of its social responsibility, the team through its local contact person selected the Pantang Hospital for their charity outreach.

The donation was led by Hope Initiative Foundation of Ashesi University and the Executive Director of CEIBS, Prof. Matthew Tsamenyi.

The donation was received by the deputy director of the Pantang Hospital, Mary Kalawu and a senior nurse, Seth Boakye - all of whom were very appreciative of the gesture.

The CEIBS students also toured the female ward 11 and 12 of the facility to get themselves accustomed to the daily activities and challenges of the hospital.
