Like all Ghanaians, celebrities are shocked since news of the death of former President Jerry John Rawlings was announced.
The 73-year-old is said to have died after he contracted Covid-19 and was rushed to the intensive care unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Many celebrities on hearing were surprised to find out the man Ghanaians had come to love and hate in equal measure had truly passed.
They have followed their post with messages expressing their condolences. Some shared photos of Rawlings' earlier days as a soldier.

Rawlings' death follows just weeks after he buried his mother Victoria Agbotui.
