Celebrated gospel artiste, Celestine Donkor, was in full gear when The Multimedia Group organised its annual prayer and thanksgiving service on Friday.
The venue for this year's event was the Prophetic Sanctuary of the Victory Bible Church International (VBCI), at Kokomlemle.
Adorned in a stunning black outfit, the 'Agbebolo' hitmaker, grabbed the microphone in the closing embers of the service and lifted the spirits of the audience with her charisma, flair and melodious voice.
Performing 'Okronkronhene' and 'Agbebolo', the award-winning songstress, also managed to pull her audience from their seats in elated singing and dancing. Ministering on stage, she reiterated the need for believers to consistently offer gratitude to God, in all situations.
Beginning at 9 am, this year's annual prayer and thanksgiving saw scores of team members, coming together to offer fervent prayers in an atmosphere of gratitude and worship.
At the start of the day's proceedings, master of ceremony, Pastor Ato Acquah, welcomed all participants to the group's annual encounter with God. With a visibly elated audience, the Chief Human Resource Manager, Nana Mbroh Elegba, then offered the purpose of gathering, and formally disclosed the rationale for the day's event.
In his delivery, he underscored the need for the Multimedia Group to thank God for 2021 and commit the new year into the hands of God. According to him, despite the efforts of team members, the gains and strides of Multimedia, have been largely influenced by God, thus the need for the team to collectively render unqualified gratitude to Him.
Ending his exhortation, the Multimedia Choir took over the stage and thrilled the house with exhilarating worship tunes and danceable choruses. Adorned in white tops and jeans, the choir compelled team members to abandon their seats and exhibit their dancing skills.
After a joyous session of singing and dancing, the house settled to listen to the Group CEO, Kwasi Twum. In his address, 'KT', as he's affectionately called, expressed gratitude to God, and thanked all team members for their individual contributions.
A prominent theme that he stressed in his delivery was the fact that God will continue to elevate and be with the team. His message was interspersed with selected tracks from the Multimedia Choir.
Resident Pastor at the Prophetic Sanctuary of the Victory Bible Church International, Bishop Emmanuel Ackun, then delivered the sermon for the day. In his submissions, he emphasised the need for thanksgiving and urged the team to cultivate a habit of thanksgiving regardless of their circumstances; good or bad.
According to him, "when we retain thanksgiving in our hearts and don't express it, it's similar to ingratitude'. Concluding his sermon, he prayed for God's expansion for The Multimedia Group and invoked divine blessings and protection on all team members in the years ahead.
The event ended with the People's Choice Awards; an internal award scheme designed to honour team members whose efforts have been appraised and recommended by their fellow colleagues. In this regard, deserving team members across the various Multimedia clusters and departments were recognised for their efforts and hard work.
Veteran preacher, Bishop Yaw Owusu Ansah crowned the day's activities with a prayer for the Multimedia Group, shortly after which the closing prayer was finally said.
Team members who attended the service, exited the auditorium with broad smiles, in their colourful Multimedia branded fabrics.
