Nana Ameyaw Yeboah II, Sikaahene of Nkoranza, has advised Assembly Members and Unit Committee Members in Nkoranza North District to unite and co-ordinate their efforts for the accelerated development of the district.
He said the newly-created district needed all hands on deck to help transform it to meet their expectations and aspirations of the people.
Nana Yeboah gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Sikaa on Tuesday.
He advised the Assembly Members and Unit Committees not to dabble in chieftaincy and partisan politics to avoid unnecessary antagonism amongst the people, “which can draw back the clock of progress in the area.”
Nana Yeboah appealed to the District Assembly, the Department of Feeder Roads and the Government to reshape and gravel feeder roads in the area.
He mentioned Pinihe-Sikaa, Kranka-Manso and Kranka-Baafi-Tanoboase roads, which he said were in bad shape.
“In view of the bad conditions of these roads, foodstuffs often get rotten especially during the rainy season and re-gravelling them will enable farmers to transport their produce to marketing centres”,
he said.Source: GNA
