The National Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu will feature in a biography play on his life on Sallah Day on Sunday, May 24, 2020.
Written and directed by Globe Productions Latif Abubakari, the play is part of the legend play series that shines the spotlight on the life stories of prominent sons and daughters of Ghana.
The Salafest Covid-19 edition highlights the birth, growth and ascendancy to Imamship and the social impact of the National Chief Imam of Ghana. He will play himself.
The play also features appearances by Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast, Most Rev Palmer-Buckle and Former chairman of the Pentecostal Council Apostle Opoku Onyinah two long-time friends of the National Imam.

The Salafest edition will also feature video messages from prominent Muslim chiefs and personalities to convey critical Covid-19 messages as directed by the Ministry of Health.
The virtual show will air live on GTV and Adom TV and via the Sharubutu TV, Ministry of Information, the 3Music and Globe Productions Facebook accounts as well as on YouTube via Globe Productions page at 8 pm on Sunday.
Commenting on the Legends play, the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osuman Nuhu Sharubutu stated that “the virtual show is an alternative platform for the annual flamboyant Eid festivity celebrations that cannot happen due to the President's Covid-19 directives.”
This is to enable people especially the Zongos to stay home to stop the spread by bringing to their doorsteps an experience that ordinarily they would have come out of their homes during the Eid festivities to witness” he further added.
The legends Play Salafest Covid-19 edition is produced by 3 Media Networks, EnE Ghana, Fantasy Entertainment, Solid Multimedia, Globe productions, Sharubutu TV and sponsored by the Stanbic Bank, Puma soft drinks, CBOD and Kingdom Exim group of companies in partnership with the Ministry of Information, Ministry of Zongo and Inner-city development, Ministry of Health, Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the Ghana National Association of Teachers. GTV, Adom TV and the Multimedia Group are the media partners for the play.
