The Chief of Wangara Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region, Nana Fanyinama III, has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to implement the Free Senior High School Policy in the third or fourth year of his first term in office.Nana Fanyinama made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the Independence Square in Accra after the swearing-in of President John Dramani Mahama. He advised the President to use the first two years of his first term in office to build the necessary structures to ensure the smooth implementation of the policy."He should also try and fulfill his promises in the manifesto as Ghanaians are expecting the Better Ghana agenda he promised during the electioneering," the chief said.He also advised the President to continue to hold onto his values of respecting everybody no matter their age or status in the society.Nana Fanyinama said the international community had accepted President Mahama and that had resulted in the huge number of foreign dignitaries who witnessed his inauguration.
He, therefore, advised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to concede defeat in the interest of national unity and development, adding that leaders of the NPP should desist from boycotting national issues and resort to roundtable discussions in addressing their problems.
