The Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana (CIHRM) has graduated 322 graduates at its 13th Graduation Ceremony.
Addressing graduates, President of the CIHRM, Dr. Edward Kwarpong, impressed on HR professionals to be abreast with the changing demands in the world of work amid the scourge of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
“The world of work is changing fast and we are beginning to see an era where remote work is getting popular. We need to get prepared for it by being innovative and embracing recent work trends,” he stated.
Chief Executive of the Institute, Ebenezer Agbettor, said the only way HR managers can survive the times is when they strictly adapt to the changing trends of Artificial Intelligence.
“The third under the Charter Status and under a very peculiar situation, of Covid- 19 pandemic where another variant has raised its ugly head. Obvious as it may look, the main purpose of today's ceremony is to officially present certificates to our deserving graduands who completed the level 3 examination of the Professional Certification programme of the institute. We entreat them to be attentive to the changing demands at the world of work and,” he stated.

Speaking at the same event, guest speaker Francis B. Danyi congratulated the graduates, calling on them to be change makers and impact positively on the lives of their workers as Human Resource Professionals.
In recent times, the HR function has expanded beyond its previous focus on operational.
The HR Practitioner is expected to add value to the business by designing and aligning HR strategies, systems and policies, corporate goals and strategies. This requires professional HR knowledge, skills, values, attitudes which are available through professional training.
It is against this background that the Institute designed and launched the 4-L Professional Certification Programme (PCP) in September 2002. Seasoned professionals serve as resource persons on the PCP.
The Professional Certification Programme is governed by a seven-member consisting of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and five Members.
