The Governing Council and Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana have congratulated Ghana’s President-Elect John Mahama and Professor Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President-Elect on their historic election victory.
President Mahama was declared the winner of Ghana’s 2024 General Election on December 7, 2024. He will be sworn into office as President on January 7, 2025.
In a statement signed and issued by, Mark A. Amoamah, President of CILT Ghana, the Institute pledged to support initiatives that promoted professionalism and excellence in the development of the logistics, transport and supply chain industry.
“As you prepare to take office on the 7th of January, 2025, we would like to emphasise the significant role that Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain play in the socio-economic development of the future of our nation.
“We are confident that with your leadership and commitment to sustainable development, the transport and logistics infrastructure of our country will achieve the desired remarkable growth and transformation. CILT Ghana pledges its collaboration to achieve this objective”, the statement said.
The CILT is a leading international professional body of 105 years in existence and is associated with Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain, having gained its Royal Charter in 1926.
The CILT-Ghana is a branch of CILT International, established in 1965 and subsequently registered as a professional body in 1981 in Ghana.
