The March Open Medal Golf championship of the Achimota Golf Club tees off at Achimota in Accra on Saturday, March 21.
Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Club told GNA Sports in Accra on Tuesday that the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play which is open to amateur golfers from the Greater Accra Region, would be sponsored by Coca Cola for the second time, the first being the February Medal event.
He said the company has agreed to sponsor the Monthly Medal competitions of the Club for the rest of the year and called on the golfers to take advantage of the opportunity to sharpen up their strokes.
Among the seasoned golfers expected to participate in the competition are Jonathan Ane, Matthias Dorfe, Charles Tabi, Daniel List and Nick Railston-Brown.
Mr Oteng-Aboagye asked the members to report early enough for the commencement to tee-off in time for the competition, which he said would be played on a league basis.
