Political communicators, Ernest Owusu-Bempah and Yaw Adomako Baafi of the National Democratic Party (NDP) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), respectively, have been invited by the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) for interrogation following their comments on the arrest of a Ghanaian alleged to have attempted to smuggle 12.5kg of cocaine to the UK.
The decision to invite the two, Adomonline sources said, occurred after the two resisted arrest from agents of the investigative agency Monday evening.
Reports say a scuffle ensued when the BNI operatives tried to pick the two up, prompting onlookers to prevent the BNI officials from arresting the two.
Owusu-Bempah and Adomako had appeared on a late evening political show on Accra-based Peace FM.
They appeared on the show with one Boahene of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) where issues concerning the recent cocaine saga were discussed extensively.
