Although President Akufo-Addo and his government are determined to get millions of Ghanaians vaccinated at the end of 2021, there seem to be some challenges hindering that progress.

First, the second batch of AstraZeneca vaccines delayed because India, where the distributors are based, is faced with another wave of the virus - forcing manufacturers to suspend all distribution until further notice.

Ghana secured some vaccines later after more than 1.3 million AstraZeneca vaccines delivered to the Democratic Republic of Congo on March 4, 2021, were re-distributed.

Within the week, it was revealed that government was securing some Sputnik V vaccines via middle men. This has not only proved to be a challenge but also at a cost to the nation that many disapproves.

Today on The Probe, host of the show Emefa Apawu sits down with some experts on the vaccine acquisition challenge amid fears of a third wave.
