Greater Accra regional minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo says the inspection and commissioning of several basic schools in the Shai Osu-doko District few days to elections is not a political gimmick. He says it is simply a propagation of the good works of the NDC government.
The Minister and his entourage accompanied by DCE of Shai Osudoku Emmanuel Lartey visited more than ten schools in the greater Accra Region which have been relocated from “under trees”.
Some of these schools include Agator DA Basic School, Kpatcheremedor Basic School, Someh Rahman Islamic School and Dawa Presby Basic School. The schools now have six classroom blocks each with teachers' staff room and a computer lab.
Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo explained ‘the inspection and commissioning of the project a few days to the election is not a political campaign’. He added ‘it is all part of the better Ghana Agenda’.
At the Dodowaa Presby 2 Basic School, the six unit classroom block was commissioned by the Regional Minister with assistance from the Dodowa Numesi Mantse, Nene Tei Kwasi Agyeman Okukumbuor the fifth.
Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo also assured the Schools of the provision of furniture, books and feeding.
