The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has directed the acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA) to submit a comprehensive list of all frequency authorisations issued or renewed within the last 60 days.
According to a memo issued on Wednesday, February 12, this directive is part of the government's broader Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) initiative, which seeks to reclaim state resources that have been transferred to private interests in a manner inconsistent with legal and procedural guidelines.
The Minister has reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring that all assets under the Ministry’s jurisdiction are managed transparently and in accordance with due process.

"This marks the first phase in what would be a complete audit of all frequency authorisations to ensure sanity in the use of State resources in the broadcasting space," it stated.
The government intends to review the issuance and renewal processes to ascertain whether they align with statutory requirements and serve the best interests of the state.
It also noted that the general public will be duly informed of any further actions on the receipt of the information.
