This Friday at 10.00 am, the Constitution Review Commission (CRC) will launch the first of 25 key questions that emerged on the review of the operation of the 1992 Constitution from consultations across the country at community, district and regional levels, inviting members of the Ghanaian general public to comment on them through SMS. The launch will take place at the Ghana International Press Centre (opposite the British High Commission & the Ghana Institute of Journalism).
An excess of 60,000 submissions have already been received by the Commission through its extensive consultations, and also in the form of emails, telephone calls, letters, as well as online submissions (at our website or through the Commission’s Facebook or Twitter profiles), and physical submissions made at the CRC Secretariat in Cantonments, Accra.
Earlier this month, the Commission launched an SMS Text-In Campaign as a means of including even more Ghanaians in the review process. With the assistance of Rancard Mobility, submissions can now be sent via SMS to the shortcode ‘1992’ across all telecom networks.
For further information on the work of the Commission, kindly visit our website http://www.crc.gov.gh or call on 0244 711 295.
