Some members of the Eastern Regional branch of the Building and Contractors Association, have appealed to government to release their fourth quarter payments to enable them pay their workers. They claimed that because they have not received payments for work done in the fourth quarter of the year, they were being compelled to look for resources elsewhere to pay part of the salaries of their workers. The contractors, who spoke to the GNA in Koforidua on condition of anonymity, claimed that their workers wanted their salary for the Christmas and their children’s school fees in January next year.
