A TV newscast on next month’s World Cup that displays the map of South America but wrongly captioned as South Africa, is tickling readers into bouts of laughter.
twitpic.com has put up the image and asks readers to Spot the ‘deliberate mistake’ from Chicago’s very own WGN News.
Comments from readers suggest they are having a field day laughing over the error. Says one; Very deliberate - orchestrated by the security chiefs of South Africa so that any threats by terrorists during world cup diverted to South America! and while another finds it ground breaking, another thinks perhaps the TV station was thinking about the future when Brasil hosts the World Cup.
