The Council of State has sent a congratulatory message to King Tackie Tawiah III, the new Ga Mantse for a successful coronation.
A statement signed by Mr Sampson Adjei, Secretary to the Council said the decision to congratulate the King, known in private life as Dr Jo Blankson was taken at a meeting held on 26th April 2007.
It said: “The Council decided that this congratulatory letter be sent to you on your ascending to the high throne of your ancestors.”
The Council encouraged him to use his good office to ensure that the vacant stools in the Ga Traditional Area were filled.
It also urged him to endeavour to bring together all factions within the Ga Traditional Area in order to maintain peace.Source: GNA
