Ghana, formerly known as Gold Coast, will in the next three days celebrate its 65th anniversary since gaining independence from British colonial rule.
President Akufo-Addo has been taking to Twitter to consistently remind Ghanaians of the big day ahead.
On Thursday, he reiterated the theme for this year's celebration, "Working Together, Bouncing Back Better."
He also shared an infographic that honoured the founding fathers of the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC), popularly known as the "Big Six."
They are; Kwame Nkrumah, Ebenezer Ako-Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo, Joseph Boakye Danquah, Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey and William Ofori Atta.
"These are the men, who in August,1947, laid the foundation for our struggle for Independence."
