Members of Course 45 Senior Police Officers Association have donated assorted PPE worth over ¢25,000 to the Police Administration to support its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Course President, Superintendent Dr Michael Sena Akabua said members of Course 45 considered various charity options for this year but realised that Covid-19 remains the key issue.
He said considering that the Police play a frontline role in the fight against the virus which comes with associated risks, the Association decided to support.

The items include 200 spectacles, 100 gowns, 100 N95 nose mask, 50 boxes of surgical nose mask, 20 gallons hand sanitizers, 20 packs of hairnet and 10 packs of shoe covers.
They were received by COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah, Director-General of Welfare who also chairs the Police Covid-19 Technical Committee.
She thanked the donors and expressed the hope that members of Course 29 to 49 who are still in active service will emulate the good example set by Course 45 Police Officers.
Course 45 members present at the donation were the President; the Vice President DSP Agyemang Badu; the organizing secretary DSP Stephen Abanga; the Secretary DSP Christiana Asamoah and the Financial Secretary DSP Phillip Ameyaw.
Also present were Supt. Solomon Korli; Supt. Sheilla K Abayie-Buckman; Supt. Dr. Cyprian Birmeh; DSP Hannah Adjei and DSP Ofori Zoglah.
